Tile and luxury vinyl plank are the most water-resistant options and are what we recommend most often for kitchens, bathrooms and basements, where moisture is a regular factor.
Is luxury vinyl plank actually waterproof?
Quality LVP is waterproof at the surface and seams when installed correctly, which is why it has become a popular alternative to tile in wet areas, while still giving a wood-look finish.
Can hardwood floors be refinished instead of replaced?
Solid hardwood can typically be sanded and refinished several times over its life, which is often far less expensive than full replacement if the existing floor is in reasonable structural condition.
